There is something very satisfying when you see your work in action! This week Greyhounds in Need received some fantastic pictures of children in Spain creating galgo puppets and masks from the resources we developed for their education website. The resources we create are designed to be used by teachers in schools, or by the volunteers from the Spanish rescue centres during their school sessions, school visits to their shelters or at public events.
Masks and puppets may seem a bit simple, but it is all part of the process of helping these children understand that the galgo is a sentient being, with feelings and emotions just like them. Once they care about these dogs and what happens to them, encouraging actual change for these animals will have a chance.
